This week has been nuts. We have done more work to our house in the last two days than we have in the last two years. It all started on Sunday...
Michelle and Scott wanted us to go look at a trailer that was for sale with them. It wasn't listed on the market yet, but the owner told Michelle about it first so that she could have an early opportunity if she wanted to buy it. The trailer was gorgeous (that sentence is kind of an oxymoron). It had tons of space, a huge deck, new kitchen, bathroom, windows, the works. All of the renovations had been done.
When we got home Michelle told us the reason she wanted us to look at the trailer with her was so that we could consider buying it for ourselves (using the investment she made on the trailer we live in now). We were already on board, we knew it would be a smart move.
We already had a few people in mind who we knew were looking to buy a house, so right away we called and set up appointments for them to come over and look at our place. So the last two days have been madness. Luckily we have a friend who is a retired landscaper and he helpd make our yard look amazing. Meanwhile I worked on the inside of the house trying to clean and hide clutter. When I went to bed last night at 11:00 the house was still a disaster though. The floors were muddy from everyone working in the yard, there was laundry that needed to be put away, everything still needed a lot of cleaning. When I woke up at 5:30 this morning the house was spotless, clutterless, floors mopped, laundry folded and put away, everything was organized. My amazing husband stayed up all night and cleaned every room in the house. (He doesn't have to work until Saturday, I had to work today though)
So today we have two couples' coming over to view the house. It is nerve-wracking, but I am excited. I have a good feeling about all of this.
