This weekend I am babysitting for a busy mom of three boys. They are 8 mos, 3 and 5. This weekend is "Rumblefest" in Port Alice which is a very competitive bike race competition. Yesterday they did the regular race and today they are doing the downhill. The boys' dad is the reigning champion for who knows how many years, pretty cool.

Yesterday though my worst nightmare finally came true (okay maybe not my WORST)... my alarm didn't go off. yup. I woke up 15 minutes after I was supposed to be there babysitting. It wasn't too big of a deal, thankfully, but I still felt like a huge failure for the rest of the day, and I will continue to. So this morning when I woke up at 7am I couldn't go back to sleep. My alarm was set for 8am but I just couldn't risk it. So here I sit with my kitten, blogging and drinking my new favorite thing: french vanilla instant coffee. This stuff REALLY makes it worth it to get up in the morning.

I am really lucky to have Matt helping me babysit the boys, they really love to play with him. Today we are all walking down to church so I can lead worship with our new Pastor, Caleb. I am excited to sing again, I really miss it. Caleb is really great for Port Alice because he is a double-threat, he is a Pastor and a worship leader. Normally that wouldn't be very appealing, but before Caleb we had neither. We listened to people in the church speak (which was fine) and sang along with (really bad) CD's. Caleb is VERY musically inclined, he leads vocally but sings harmony most of the time. I know that sounds weird but it is AWESOME. He and Matt actually went to bible college together for a year.

Oh yah, did I mention tomorrow we are coming down to Shelton? Another early morning... we are catching the 3pm ferry which means we need to leave our house by 7am. Ugh, such a long drive. I am excited though! Is it weird that I'm going to miss my cats? ....
