I have been engaged for exactly one month.
I have not seen Matt in one month [tomorrow]
There is exactly 8 weeks until our wedding.
We have been together for 20 months [yesterday]

I am so content right now, it's almost comical.

We are buying a house in Port Alice. Well... a mobile home. But not mobile, it's like a double-wide. We are buying a house...

I got my wisdom teeth out last Wednesday, I didnt recover too well. I still have a lot of pain in the left side of my mouth and cheek. But it's getting better.

ugh

NOTHING disgusts me more than naked women on tv. TV shows about playboy shoots and sleeping around make me SICK.

I hate them.

For a million different reasons.

I can't believe we let that stuff on cable?

dontcha love...

I love that feeling, the day after you work out, of soreness in all your trouble areas. or depending on the last time you exercised, soreness all over.

it feels good.

I love walking around the house at night when everyone is asleep [and actually in there bed, not passed out on the couch], because it's rare in my house, to be quiet at 11:46. With all the tv's off.

I love good days

Today was a good day, I am happy. I dont know specifically why. Probably because the sun was out, and it was warm. And because I totally scored at American Eagle and bought new summer clothes =) and didnt spend that much!

Probably because my sister is in bed, and that makes things less stressful. Also because I got to hang out with Makenna one on one while my mom grocery shopped.

I have been doing really well with Matt being so far away. I wasn't sure how I would handle it or not. Sure, the wedding has been successful at distracting me, but I am use to talking to him several times a day, and usually a lot at night. But now with his new job, he is so tired by the time he gets off of a 12 hours shift, he is ready to hit the sack at 7:30. And I'm okay with that. I'm okay with only takling to him for 10 minutes a day, surprisingly. [I've come a long way]. Because I feel like I am making him happy. When he calls, and I am ask him how work was. I fill him in on my day real quick or any new wedding plans that have come up. And then I tell him to rest. I tell him to go to bed, sleep well, and focus on himself.

And then he says really sweetly "Okay... goodnight..." and drifts off.

And that makes today a good day.

life is about doing the process and not the result.

So the past week or so has been a tad [shutup Molly] stressful.

I have been focusing way too much on how short a time we have to plan a wedding [the date is July 19, btw] and how much I have to do all on MY own. Not that Matt isnt supportive, he is REALLY trying to be helpful, it's just hard to make arrangments over the phone being 14 hours apart.

But the truth is, I need to focus on the good, and that this is one of the most exciting times of my life. I want to have that giddy anticipation, but I believe it had to be developed. To be able to have reassurance and confidence that everything will fit into place. The truth is, I'm not focusing enough on the positive.

Things are looking up though!

-I have already bought the wedding dress of my dreams. It is pretty, it is elegant, and beautiful.

-I have the girls' bridesmaid dresses picked out, and Molly has already bought hers.

-Matt is designing our invitations to save money, and he makes AMAZING designs.

-Thanks to Molly's help we have found an awesome rental place for tables, chairs, and linens, that has really good prices.

-Molly has also found some really good catering options, Im pretty set on Travalgonies.

-Matt's friends have offered us a really good deal on their mobile home they are selling, and his mom has offered us a loan so we don't have to pay high interest to a bank.

I'm excited.
