I am cooking some mac and cheese waiting till Matt gets home (at 6am) so we can take our loong trip to Shelton today!

I've uploaded this picture for those of you who don't know where we live. Everyone assumes, since we live in BC, that we live in Vancouver.

You can actually see the words "Port Alice" on this map, even though it is only a town of about 800 people. It is at the very north tip, right on an inlet. It takes us about 7 hours to drive to Victoria where we catch a ferry to Port Angeles, and I'm sure you know the rest of the route from there. Anyone want to come visit us?

THIS is possibly the most entertaining blog ever, I love to read it all night and laugh. Just read through the first couple pages and you'll see what their point is. This is by far my favorite "fail" they have. If poor punctuation doesn't annoy you then this probably won't be as funny.

I am so happy to finally have our wedding pictures. You're probably thinking to yourself 'Wasn't their wedding over 4 months ago?' Yes. You're right it was. I am really happy with the pictures, but sort of disappointed with the quantity. Hopefully we will be getting ALL of the originals from our photographer next time we see him.

(If you click on the pictures you can see them full size)

I am getting EXTREMELY excited for our trip next week. Only four more days! I can't wait!

I'll give you my secret

I read in Real Simple magazine about a snapfish.com, a website where you design and print holiday (or any occasion) photo-cards. I'm sure most people have seen these cards for baby announcements and other things. You can pick a template and upload one or more of your own photos depending on what kind of template you choose.

Until November 23 they are having a deal to get your first 20 photo cards for 1 cent each. After that they go back to regular price, which ranges from 29-75 cents a card depending on how many you order. And today only (Nov. 18) they have free shipping.

So all and all Matt and I ordered 40 Christmas cards (envelopes included) and had them shipped to my parents house for a total of $18. Now, this is my first year of sending out Christmas cards, but I think that's a pretty good deal. Especially since they are super stylish and they have our picture on them!

If you don't want to pay for shipping you can pick them up at Walgreens.

this has gotten out of hand

So a lot of you already know this, but Matt works 12 hour shifts at the mill. He usually works two day shifts, two night shifts, and then has four days off. Lately he has been working a lot of over time, and they have been calling him in on his days off even if he only has one. All of these shifts have been night shifts though, so he'll leave at 6pm and get home at 6am.

I somehow managed to get on the same sleeping schedule, going to bed at 7am and waking up at 4pm for the last week or so. But then they called him in to work DAY shifts this time. So last night neither of us could sleep. We both took a 3/4 hour nap but then we got up around 3am. We made smores and baked potatoes (I guess we were hungry)and watched tv until he had to go to work at 6.

All of this has been so crazy, sleeping at a different time everyday is wack. I fell asleep from 8am-5pm today, and now he is going to come home and sleep all night and I will be awak. Needless to say this whole schedule is crazy and has been giving me dry, bloodshot eyes (it looks really bad). But everyone SHOULD be returning to a normal schedule next month.

President Obama doesn't exactly roll of the tongue, haha

I am supposed to be filling out my immigrations forms right now... so that I won't get kicked out of the country next July! There's always tomorrow... right?

I am happy that Barak Obama was elected President, but the truth is, I'm just glad George W. Bush is finally out of office, it felt like it would never end! And hopefully this war will end soon as well. It's encouraging to know that the majority of our country and our President want it to.

I don't usually get too involved in politics. Even when I favor a candiate I still don't get involved because everyone else is just so fired up. But since last night when they projected Obama (do I have to call him President Obama now?) the winner people started freaking out on facebook, saying how evil he is. I guess I don't understand that. We are all evil. John McCain is evil, George W. Bush is evil, Barak Obama is evil, but what is everyone hoping for, some righteous Christian to become President? I guess I'm just missing something here.

Now that he is President I think that everyone should pray for him and support him because he is our leader. Unless he becomes like George W. Bush over the years, then we can start praying for God to do something about him. But until then, stay encouraged, even if you didn't vote for him. You never know what can happen.
