This is all for my own selfish vain.

So, lets say you babysit someone's children once a week, and they pay you every other Friday. They miss one payday for no reason, and ask you later to let you know how much they owe you. The next week comes along, and they ask you to babysit again. You agree, and then they tell you that they just ordered new living room furniture and are on a super tight budget this week, so they will have to take another rain check on paying you. (Living room furniture = $1,000+ My paycheck = $45. Not to mention they make over double what Matt and I do, and I charge them five dollars an hour to watch their three kids). And then they add again how excited they are to get their new furniture.

So the question is...

I can't believe my little girl is 4 years old already! I'm glad that she still has a few more years until kindergarten at least, although she is so smart, she could totally handle it now!

Time flies so fast....

God has really been showing me the power of prayer this month.

The last few months we have had so many financial burdens. Paying for my immigration paperwork (over $500), really needing a new computer, and my photography schooling are all things that have been putting a lot of pressure on us. This whole month I have just been praying that God would provide for us, whether it was providing me with a job or some other way. I have also been trying really hard just to trust him and rely on him fully.

He has not disappointed us. I have been offered so many new babysitting and odd jobs this month, it is such a blessing to be able to make extra money! We also had our prayers answered about getting a new computer. (Our USB ports don't work so we aren't able to print anything, put anything on our external hard drive, and I can't transfer any of my pictures onto the computer). God provided us a solution and removed the huge stress from our lives.

God has just really been revealing himself to me lately, and it's been making a huge difference in my life. I feel like I AM able to give my worries and stress over to him and just "let it be" in his hands. I trust that God wants the best for Matt and I, he's not trying to make our lives harder.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I know this verse is so common, but it is actually becoming real to me for the first time.
