september... weird...
Monday, September 03, 2007 6:15 PM
apperently since Im not going to the high school I totally forgot school was starting so soon! I feel sorry for everyone who has to go back. This summer was weird... but good. There really wasnt that much super nice weather, but I sure did have a lot of good times that maybe I didnt realize until now.

I could capture this whole last year in a box so easily. Since Rock for Sudan, since dating Matt, sincing starting high school. It's all been so... fast. I never knew a year ago I'd be in love, I never knew I'd have a tattoo, I never knew I'd be so close with so many new people, I never knew a lot of things.

Life feels so exciting. Not just "excited for the fall" or "excited for school", I'm just excited for life. Every season that goes by is each so wonderful. Every year that goes by is so different from the previous. It's interesting to see how I grow up, how my friends grow up, and how, for some reason, people try to tell us not to grow up. People have told me a lot this year to not waste my youth. Why would I be wasting it? The most exciting part of being a youth is growing up! The best part about high school is that everyone knows it wont last long. The best part about friends is knowing they will. I know a lot of people think that people my age should just relax, have fun with their friends, go to the movies or to the mall, and do lots of other things. Which we do, but shouldnt we grow up eventually too? Can't we do both. We're not trying to have babies or buy a house, but we are growing up in the way of going to community college, getting in serious relationships, and having jobs.

Sorry about that rant. I guess I am just very content with where my life is and where it's going and how it will change in the future.
