adding injury to insult

well where to begin? I guess I will just tell you all a story...
The story starts at 3am when my mom heard a knock on the door and a dog barking outside. She went to the top of the stairs and saw at the window her WORST nightmare: a state patrol hat.
The conversation began something like this...
"Do you know where your [Kia] Optima is?"
"No."
"Well we believe it's been involved in a collision on Arcadia road."
Soon Makenna starts crying and my mom has to rock her back to sleep, and she waits until 7:30 when she wakes me up. She tells me that Lauren crashed the car and no one knows where she is, but the state patrol officer thought she probably hit her head on the windshield. Im shocked to say the least. My mom had taken my grandmas car home yesterday [my grandma went to the hosptial yesterday for what she thought was a heart attack, she is okay though] so she went to work. My dad had already gone to Bremerton [for work] earlier.
I watched Makenna all day and finally heard from my mom. My sister had called her and told her she was on her way to Mason General Hospital with a friend. My dad was on his way home and went there, again, I stayed home with Makenna.
A while later I learn that Lauren has a broken foot, a broken arm, and some bad head and rib injuries, along with a lot of bruising everywhere else.
The Kia, VERY, VERY, sadly, has been totaled. Also sad: Lauren is not on our insurance for that car.
Also sad: We now have one car for the four of us
Even more sadly: she can't walk, stand, or pick Makenna up.
